Our warranty covers our aluminum frames for 5 years. Should your Southern Home frames fail due to structural problems under normal residential use, Southern Home will repair or replace the product. A credit could be applied should the design be discontinued.
Our warranty covers our wicker frames for five (5) years. If our wicker products (woven resin) break, tear, or fade excessively within five (5) years of the date of purchase, Southern Home will replace or repair the product. The replacement will be with a similar product should the design be discontinued.
All of Southern Home wicker products are warranted in salt water environments for five (5) years, which would include salt water pools, ocean side pools, and bay side pools. Our products are not under warranty if products are allowed to be in the ocean or salt water pool waters.
Our warranty covers our mahogany/teak frames for five (5) years. The product must not have been misused, handled carelessly, nor been damaged, neglected, or used in abnormal conditions. The product must not have been modified, altered in any way, or repaired by anyone other than Southern Home. The warranty will only be valid if proper maintenance and cleaning have been carried out in accordance with our aftercare instructions. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear caused by regular use. Small cracks, which may appear in the end grain of mahogany/teak when exposed to the outside elements, and/or any change of appearance due to usual weathering are considered entirely natural for mahogany/teak outdoor furniture and are not covered by this warranty. Mahogany/teak components should be wiped with a soft cloth upon receipt to remove any residual sanding dust. Transfer of oil pigments onto fabrics and patio surfaces is to be expected with newly exposed mahogany/teak as the surface color washes away. Should your Southern Home frames fail due to structural problems under normal residential use, Southern Home will repair or replace the product. The replacement will be with a similar product should the design be discontinued.
Southern Home products are warranted to be free from noticeable oxidation and any finish defects of a period of three (3) years.
CAST STONE TOPS
Southern Home cast stone tops are warranted for three (3) years against normal usage and structural failure due to defects in the materials or workmanship. Major variations of color, texture or gloss levels are excluded from warranty when tops are exposed to direct sunlight and the outside elements. Tops subjected to damage due to mishandling, abnormal use, misuse or physical or chemical abuse or to chemicals, force, pressure or loading applied from a person, utensil or object, including but not limited to scratches, cracks and/or chips resulting therefrom, are also excluded from warranty. Cast stone tops will only experience minor variations in color and texture when installed inside or under covered areas.
CHIPPING/CRACKING/SCRATCHING: Concrete is very durable but may chip, crack or scratch if struck directly by another hard or sharp/abrasive object.
Southern Home offers a 5 year limited warranty from the date of purchase which applies to the finish of the fire pits’ table top and base against cracking, peeling or blistering during normal residential use. This warranty does not cover damage caused due to misuse. All burner components are covered during normal residential use with proper maintenance for 1 year from date of purchase. Regular maintenance must be exercised.
NATURAL STONE TOPS:
Southern Home natural stones’ specifically designed Italian marble tops are warranted for ten (10) years against normal usage and major discoloration. Our natural stone tops are warranted for three (3) years against structural failure due to defects in the materials or workmanship. Minor variations of color, texture and gloss levels are not under warranty.
Southern Home cushions are warranted structurally for eighteen (18) months. This does not cover normal fading or staining of fabrics or damage caused by excessive compression. Rips or tears in our cushions due to abusive use or cutting with a box knife are not covered under this warranty.
5-YEAR WARRANTY Southern Home warrants the crank and auto tilt mechanisms in the Cancun for a period of 5 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty includes manufacturer defects of crank handles, crank axles, auto tilts, push button tilts, and para-cord. Southern Home warrants the frame structure of the Cantilevers, Fiji, Cancun, and Country Club for a period of 5 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty includes manufacturer defects to the notch, runner, center pole, and skeleton structure. This warranty does not include damages sustained to these umbrellas while in any degree of tilt.
3-YEAR FINISH WARRANTY Southern Home warrants all powder coat finishes on aluminum masts in Cantilevers, Fiji, Cancun, and Country Club for a period of 3 years from the original date of purchase. This warranty includes chipping, peeling, flaking, bubbling, and fading of the powder coat finish on the aluminum masts only.
GALVANIZED BASE DISCLAIMER Galvanized steel will show unavoidable imperfections due to the finishing process and therefore must be accepted in the condition in which it is received.
RUST DISCLAIMER Rust is a natural part of the aging process for all steel and iron-based materials; therefore, it is not considered a defect and is not covered under any Southern Home warranties. Steel bases and mounts are designed to require minimum maintenance and should be kept clean and well maintained.
SEASIDE AND INDOOR/OUTDOOR POOL USE Seaside and indoor/outdoor pool use, salt, and chlorides can accumulate on the powder coat finishes and on raw material finishes such as Matte Silver (MS Umbrella specific) and Polished Silver Anodized (SR), leading to premature finish failure. Failure or neglect to make needed cleanings on powder coat finishes may cause paint to blister, flake, or bubble, and such failure will void the limited warranty. Failure to maintain umbrella and base finishes may cause aluminum and metals to pit, oxidize or corrode. Such failure will void all warranties.
GENERAL DISCLAIMER Southern Home warranties do not cover damage to any umbrellas or umbrella bases related to extreme weather, abuse, misuse, or any damage that occurs as a result of contact with the ground or any other foreign object due to sudden and severe weather events or other extreme acts of nature.
Southern Home warranties are only applicable to products that are properly secured to Southern Home bases or anchoring systems equal to or greater than recommended by Southern Home. Failure to properly secure Southern Home umbrellas to Southern Home bases equal to or greater than recommended will void all warranties.
If warrantable damage occurs, Southern Home will refinish, replace, or repair any item in this category at its own discretion.
Our warranty is void if product is exposed to abusive use, normal fading of fabrics, upholstery or woven materials, compression of cushions, wind damage, finish failure from pools or seaside use caused by abusive use, cracking of tubing due to exposure to water and freezing temperatures and damage caused by acts of nature. Southern Home will pay the freight cost only for the first year after date of purchase.
All orders that are refused or returned are eligible for significant restocking fees. Cushion restocking fees start at 50% depending on fabric grade, but can be as much as a 75% restocking fee. All frames are subject to a minimum restocking fee of 25% and can be higher based on the condition of the returned item.
Southern Home strongly suggests bi-weekly cleaning of any surface build up in all salt water environments to continue warranty protection and monthly cleaning in all non-salt water environments.
Southern Homes’ warranties are effective from the date of purchase to the original purchaser only. The terms of this warranty are subject to change without notice
